This buck was shot on opening day-shotgun in the Southern Tier (Cortland County).
It was just getting dark when my boyfriend decided to push an area that had a lot of sign that a good size buck was in there. Sure enough, he came out about 90 yards downhill from where I was in a ladder stand. I could see antler but was not sure just how big he was. After I shot I saw him drop. Once we got to him I was thrilled to see he was a 10-point with an impressive rack.
He is my fifth deer in my life but no doubt probably the biggest deer I will ever get. I am so proud and thankful to Mike Doyle who really did "put him im my lap"! It was a team effort for sure.
