My Buck of a Lifetime
by Bob Cummings
(Cayuga County)
It was 9:15 am and I was just about to get out of my stand when I caught movement out the corner of my eye. An impressive buck was trying to skirt a field and head into a chunk of timber. I quickly put the crosshairs on its mark the buck dropped where he stood.
I knew he was a shooter, but I didn't know he was this great. I walked up to him and man was I excited and that's a understatement haha...
He weighed dressed 194 pounds, green scored 152-1 and was 5 1/2 years old. The best part was when I called my dad and he came out to see my buck. The look on his face was priceless and I'll never forget the memory shared!!:))
