4 Year Old 8-Point

I shot this 4 year old 8 point 11/11/11 at 8:30am. After hunting 6-8 hours a day for 6 days with out seeing a deer.

I finally had a doe come trotting by at 45 yards with this guy behind her. I stopped him at 43 yards and watched my arrow with a Lumanock disappear into him. He took two bounds and stood there for what seemed for ever. He slowly walked away. I was unsure of my shot seeing that he started turning as the arrow hit him. I gave him 6 hours and found him 60 yards from where he stood when I shot him.

He only had 2 inches in deductions but still only scored 117. Still a trophy to me 43 yard shot threw the woods. Hunting hard passing up small bucks pays off!
