This 10 point, 177 lb. monster is the biggest buck I've ever shot. This bad bad boy walked by my stand at 9 am on 11/15/14 and I couldn't believe my eyes. Thank god I didn't miss.

I shot him on December 3rd in Westdale, NY on a morning hunt. Everybody thought the rut was over but I knew something was up when he came through looking for the doe that I had just seen and his neck was still swollen.
He's a typical 8-point and if I would have let him go next year he wound have a little drop tine of his right beam. He weighed a little over 150lbs dressed. My biggest buck yet.

Shot during a drive through a set of pines at 30 yards with a .308. Tracked him for several hours watching him walk low with his guts hanging out of the exit wound. Finally died 20 yards after crossing the road. Great hunt! He's probably a 2 year old 9 point with a split brow tine. Shot 10/13.

This photo is of my 16 year old son, Daniel Fox, with his first Big Buck taken November 22, 2014. He has been hunting with me since he was big enough to follow me into the woods. This isn't his first buck but definitely his largest to date. He's especially proud of this one since he's now old enough that Dad doesn't have to sit with him anymore.
I'm proud of the fact he kept his composure with a big buck coming to him since this isn't a small feat even for any veteran hunter and he didn't rush the shot.
Dans buck is a main frame 8-point with 2 tines broken from fighting and was taken on public land in Oneida County, Northern Rifle Zone. The deer weighed approximately 150lbs. as our deer here have very little agriculture... surviving off mast and browse and carried a 16" spread.
This hunt had very special meaning to him as he's using a rifle given to him by his Grandfather.

Opening Day 2014: One word for the forecast - COLD! A lovely 11 Degrees in the Am hunt and 28 degree for remainder. Saw this Buck just walking around at the Ridge..Hit the Range Finder on it, target was at 72 yards. Walking with two does. The buck walk away from them proceeded closer, noticed the nice basket 8 he was so proudly sporting..
I took him at around 60 yards behind the spine.

9-point with split brow tines.
It was 7:10 am November 19, 2014 ,here comes tiny 100 yards behind me. I turn around in the stand, rest the gun on the tree I was in with tiny in my scope. At 50 yards I pulled the trigger and off he ran with no sign of being hit. I watched and waited to see him go down, but no, as he was going about 100 mph through the timber.
I waited about ten minutes before checking to see if there was any sign he was hit, but there was none... I missed. I got back in the stand and continued to hunt. Forty-five minutes went by and I was going through a nightmare in my mind wondering what went wrong. I got out of the stand and went to where I shot and nothing at all. So, I went ahead to where I last saw him... looking for anything... but still nothing. As I looked through the timber ahead, there He was! Wow! What a buck! A tad over 200 pounds and 9-points with great mass for the area I hunt.
So, lets rewind a little. This was my brothers stand I was in. He had to work that day of all days his birthday, which he always hunts no matter what. Needless to say, my brother was not too happy on his birthday being that I just shot the biggest buck in that woods from "his spot", but he got over it real quick when I got him to skip work to come help me with "Tiny". So after all it was a pretty good day.

I harvested this symmetrical 10 pointer on Opening day in Ontario Wayne county while hunting with my Dad. I had one opportunity to shoot at approx 75 yards which I took. I shot 2 more times while he was on the run..... and he dropped 2 yards from my stand. It is a great feeling to know that the deer is down.....and a plus to have it so close. By the way I missed him with the last 2 shots..... but the first one went in the shoulder through the heart and out the other shoulder. All in all it was a great morning and I am glad I got to spend it hunting with my Dad again. Dressed weight was approx 185 which would put live weight around 230-240. Age approx 4.5 years.
