John McCool downed this 11-point in Cortland County on opening day of the 2012 gun season. The buck, nicknamed "Bonecrusher" as he had been spotted numerous times knocking off the horns of all other bucks on the property, weighed in at 205 pounds dressed.

"This is an Onondaga County Buck shot with my Bowtech Insanity. The shot was a 60 yard downhill shot in between 2 trees 12” apart. The longest shot I had even practiced was 50 with no obstacles. I am very lucky to have made this shot. It pierced the heart and he ran 100 yds and fell. Dressed at 170 lbs. Inside spread is 18. Longest g-2 is 12”. Shot Nov. 4, 2012. He was chasing a hot doe. "
