2010 Late-Season Blackpowder 8-point

3.5 year old (tooth estimate) taken on the very last day of 2010 late season blackpowder in Leicester NY.

Deer was in a group with four other bucks and ten antlerless... one or two does were hot, bucks were still rutting hard. This buck was worn out from rutting, low body weight, thin hide and zero fat. The harsh winter that followed would have most likely claimed him.

Harvested with a vintage Thompson Encore 50cal and plastic-tip jacketed rounds. Zero yards from impact, but deep in a ravine.
